Gas lease offers could jump if early wells productive

Natural-gas drillers seem to be taking “a wait-and-see attitude” right now, according to Ken Balliet, a Penn State Extension director well versed in gas-lease issues.
If exploratory wells being drilled this summer are productive and some state regulatory issues are ironed out, gas-lease offers could jump, he said.

Oil and Gas Leases Hit $30.5 Million in North Dakota, Montana

The Bureau of Land Management’s bimonthly regional sale of oil and gas leases totaled more than $30.5 million.
BLM officials say the sale on Tuesday set a record for leases in North Dakota and Montana. The agency says it eclipsed the previous record of $13.1 million set in January 2005.

Keller, Texas group signs gas lease with signing bonus of $20,000/acre

Haltom City group gets gas-lease deal at $20,500/acre
