The old oil can harm the atmosphere, so it shouldn’t be kept for too long inside houses or trash cans. So to safely dispose of an old gas can, you should first empty it from any residue of old gasoline. Then place holes at the bottom of the container. After placing the holes, put the can in an open area to let them dry off completely.

How to dispose of an old gas oil mix. If the oil is the only contaminant in the gas, you may still be able to use it in a small engine. Mix it in with fresh gas in a ratio of 1 to 4 and it should power your engine just fine. If the gas in the mix is too old to re-use, you can dispose of it the same way you would old gas.

So… how to dispose of old gasoline? It’s recommended that as with oil, paint and other hazardous household wastes, you find a local hazardous waste disposal center that accepts gasoline. In some cases, you may need to hire a waste disposal company to take care of the gas for you.

There’s not enough oil in that mix to cause any damage to your car, especially if you are diluting it further with a full tank of gas. If you still have reservations about burning it in your car, take the stuff to a place with an oil-fired heater and pour it in their waste oil tank (with their permission, of course).

Old Gas/Oil Mix Disposal. When I first bought my home, I mixed my own gas for two stroke engines. After killing a weed eater by not getting the mixture exactly right, I switched exclusively to the premixed fuel. The convenience alone has been worth the switch. My problem lies in the gallon gas can with old mixed gas in it.

Real easy you have 2 options If your car has half a tank or more just add to your car or add 2 liters (1/2 gallon) of gas to your oil mix gas and use it in your lawnmower. Next time no need to pre-mix buy a turkey baster add straight gas and add 1/2 a shot of oil mix and stir with the turkey baster take a sample and if the colour is midium blue you are good to go.

put in in the gas tank of someones car and let them burn it. or use it to start a bonfire in your yard. to be honest with you, I'd just run it in your bike. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it if it has only sat a few months. If it'll burn in someones car, it'll burn in your bike. Maybe mix up a new batch and add the old gas to the new mix.
